Middletown Farmers Market Opening Day!
May 2 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Did you know that in 2018 the Middletown Farmers Market was voted among the Best of the Best Farmers Markets in Frederick County by the readers of the Frederick News-Post, and one of the Best of Frederick Farmers Markets by the readers of Frederick Magazine? This year we intend to be first place in both of these contests!
Established prior to 2005, by the Christ Reformed United Church of Christ to give local farmers and artisans a venue to share their talents and products with their community, the Middletown Farmers Market is definitely one of the best and longest running markets in the area.
In 2018, we had 45 participating vendors selling arts & crafts, baked goods, dairy meats & eggs, live plants & cut flowers, pet care products, hot/prepared foods, adult beverages & kombucha, local honey, fruits & vegetables, and providing services. The market is located in the church’s parking lot at 12 South Church Street, Middletown, and is open from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM every Thursday from May 2 to October 17 this year.
In addition to our local vendors who are all growers and producers (no “direct sales consultants”, yard-sale/flea-market items, or resale), we also have many special events planned for the season. In fact, only 7 weeks of our 26 week season do not have a special event planned, but we’re not finished yet! With the exception of Yoga at the Market, which is a donation based class, all of these events are free to the public. Also, unless specifically noted, events take place during the full market hours of 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
