Hi Friends!

We just love the folks who work in our fantastic downtown businesses! But in case you have not had the pleasure to meet everyone, we want to supply the introduction. Click here to see the beautiful work from Jennifer Riley Photography. Jennifer Riley began her photography business in 2013 and opened up her lovely studio at 1 West Main Street in 2019. The amazing photos in her windows grace passerbys every day.

When speaking with Jennifer, you can hear the passion in her voice and see the calm behind the camera. She credits her love of photography with being the person in her family that has kept the family photos – cherished memories – stored, and safe. Having these visual and tactical connections to her past is why she feels strongly that it is not enough to just take the photograph. Have those very special moments printed, framed, preserved in a book for generations to come.

Her full service studio takes the client through the entire process, from what to wear, scout a location or come to the studio, to creating customized frames and prints to meet each client’s unique needs. Because each client gets so much personalized time and Jennifer’s attention to every detail of the process, she really gets to know her customers! To many, she becomes the familiar friend that they call upon for annual family photos, the birth of a new child, or for special milestone events. She recalled that at her studio opening in 2019, she was touched that so many of her customers, many who have since moved out of the area, still came to congratulate her.

When asked what is one of the hardest parts of her job, she said, keeping toddlers occupied! She said she has gone to such lengths as to balance a stuffed-animal on her head while she is taking photos to keep the little ones eyes on her! She said much of her work is keeping the families relaxed so she can capture the special emotions and bonds that are shared on film.

When asked why Middletown, Jennifer explained that having grown up here, then moving away to go to college, and coming back to her hometown makes her appreciates the Middletown community that much more, and she is so excited to bring her special brand of photography to Main Street Middletown. We encourage you to call Jennifer, make an appointment, and you too, can Meet her on Main!
